Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) – Education Support
As part of our commitment to supporting the wellbeing of school leaders, the Surrey Secondary Phase Council provides access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) through Education Support.
This confidential service is designed to help headteachers and senior leaders navigate the pressures of leadership with 24/7 support for emotional, financial, and practical challenges.
What’s Included?
- Confidential Counselling – 24/7 access to trained counsellors for emotional and mental health support.
- Coaching for Work-Related Issues – Practical guidance on leadership challenges, workplace stress, and career concerns.
- Financial and Legal Advice – Support with financial planning, debt management, and legal concerns.
- Health and Wellbeing Resources – Access to self-help tools, articles, and practical strategies to manage stress and maintain resilience.
How to Access the Service
This service is free for all member schools, and support is available via telephone, online, or through scheduled counselling sessions.

Stress Awareness Month toolkit
Education Support know the various demands of teaching and working in schools and colleges can be stressful. And whilst some stress can be positive when managed correctly, more needs to be done to ensure you have a long, happy and rewarding career – not one cut short by too much stress and burnout.
